So for magnus I decided to just go with my experience on a lot of the colors. I built him, left the wings and the armor off, and started with the skin.
The skin was done in three colors.
The base was GW Wazdakka Red
The shadows were done with GW Xereus Purple
The highlights were VGA Bloody Red
On the face make sure you pick out the details with GW Pink Horror. No need to apply this anywhere else except the face.
It all worked out nicely. If you mess up or get overspray the three colors work together extremely well so just use either the purple or the bloody red to fix your mistakes.
For the wings I used these four paints starting on the left
GW Xereus Purple
VGA Warlord Purple
VGA Magic Blue
GW Incubi Darkness
Then I dry brushed with GW Temple Guard Blue to give the feathers some depth.
The armor was done with GW Liberator Gold, GW Retributor Armor, and VMA Silver all with a GW Seraphim Sepia wash.
For the base I used GW Armageddon Dunes Texture Paint then a GW Seraphim Sepia Wash, then dry brushed with GW Ushabti Bone.
